Pesto is truly always very delicious and easy to make, which is why I would like to show you my variations with rocket and walnuts. To start, we need two cloves of garlic and the mixing bowl. Then add 125 grams of washed rocket, filling the bowl almost all the way to the top. Add about half to a full teaspoon of black pepper, two to three pinches, and 100 grams of walnuts. If you prefer, you can use 50 grams of walnuts and 50 grams of roasted pine nuts. My favorite variation, however, is with just walnuts. You can decide which one you prefer.
Now, put the lid with the fan on and turn on the mixer for six seconds on level six. You can repeat this step for another six seconds on level six to make it finer. This is ideal for me, but you can decide how fine you want it.
Using a spatula, scrape the sides of the bowl and place the lid back on, but this time without the measuring cup. Set a bowl out and measure 150 grams of olive oil. Put the bowl down and set the timer for two minutes on level three. Add the olive oil slowly, one sip at a time, to the opening in the lid. I find it helpful if the opening is at the center of my head. Near the end, you can place the measuring cup back on and briefly increase the level to four. And voilà! Our beautiful pesto is now ready!
We can put the pesto in a nice jar. It has a dreamy green color and a truly aromatic taste. You should definitely try it out and make it yourself. It tastes great and can be stored for several weeks in the fridge. I like to serve it with hot spaghetti and some cherry or cherry tomatoes chopped up on top. But it also tastes great on mozzarella or vegan variety, “flow zarella.”
I hope you enjoy making this dish and have a great time in the kitchen. Stay tuned for the next video!
