Lebkuchenhaus Rezept einfach selbst machen

Welcome to this episode on how to make the classic Christmas recipe, the gingerbread house. In this video, we will be making everything from scratch, including the dough, decorating it with royal icing, colorful sprinkles, and candies.

When I was a kid, we used to make gingerbread houses every year, but we didn’t bake the dough ourselves. We used to buy pre-made gingerbread house kits that just required us to assemble and decorate them. However, I want to show you how to bake the dough from scratch today so that you can enjoy the authentic taste and experience of making a gingerbread house.

I have kept the decoration quite classic in this video, but last week, I made a gingerbread house with my niece who is six, and it was a colorful explosion of sweets and candies. So, feel free to decorate your gingerbread house however you like. You can use it as a gift and pack it in a nice cookie bag or box. You can create your own gingerbread house building kit and give it as a present to your loved ones.

The recipe for the gingerbread house can be found in the description box below. Let’s start by making the dough. We’ll begin by heating sugar, salt, and butter with sugar syrup and then letting it cool. In a separate bowl, we’ll mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, lebkuchengewrz, and cocoa powder. Once the dry ingredients are mixed well, add eggs and egg yolks to the mixture. Finally, mix in the warm sugar syrup into the dry mixture. Mix the dough until it’s firm and then refrigerate for about one to two hours. Once the dough is firm, knead it a little and then roll it out evenly. Use cookie cutters or create your own patterns to cut out different parts of the house, including the walls, the roof, and the chimney.

Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees Celsius and bake the gingerbread parts in the preheated oven for around 10 minutes. Once baked, let them cool down. Next, you can add windows and doors to the walls using isomalt, a type of sugar. This will create a beautiful glass effect on the windows when you add an LED light to the house.

Now it’s time to assemble the gingerbread house using royal icing as the adhesive. You can use a slate platter as a base and cover the slate with royal icing, which will serve as snow on the base of our gingerbread house. Glue the walls together using a generous amount of icing, and then let it dry for about an hour. Decorate the house using candies, sprinkles, and icing to create a winter wonderland.

In summary, it’s easy to create your own gingerbread house using this recipe. It’s a great activity to do with your family, and you can create a beautiful gingerbread house that you can display during the holidays or even give away as a special gift. So, get creative, have fun, and enjoy the process of making your own gingerbread house from scratch!
