Mousse au Chocolat / Thermomix® TM6 / Cookidoo®

Hello everyone and welcome to a new video on my channel! It’s great to have you here. Unfortunately, the weather is not looking too great today. It has been pouring rain all night and it’s still coming down now. It’s also quite windy, which makes me crave some soul food to lift my spirits. I think something sweet would do the trick. So, I went online to check out some recipes, and I stumbled upon mousse au chocolat.

After comparing a few recipes, I decided to make the recipe from Cookidoo using my Vorwerk Thermomix. I have all the ingredients at home, so we can get started right away. However, I’ll be making a little change to the recipe. Instead of using the traditional method of scooping the mousse with a scoop after it has cooled, I’ll be using a silicone piping bag to fill dessert glasses and top them with some decorative touches.

Let me show you the ingredients we’ll be using: dark chocolate, eggs, butter, brewed coffee, cream, and, of course, the dessert glasses I’ll be using. The recipe can be found on Cookidoo, and I’ve listed the ingredients in the description box below. You can watch me prepare the recipe in the video or find detailed directions on Cookidoo.

Let’s get started! I’ve saved the recipe under the dessert category in my recipe tab, and I’ll begin by placing 200g of broken-up dark chocolate into my mixing bowl. I’ll cover it with the lid and place the measuring cup on top. I’ll pulse the mixture on level 10 for 8 seconds and then scrape down the sides with a spatula. As you can see, the mixture looks like thick chocolate pudding.

I’ve already prepared the eggs, so I’ll add them to the mixing bowl now. I’ll also add 10g of orange liqueur, which is optional. And, lastly, 20g of coffee. I’ll cover the bowl with the measuring cup and heat the mixture to 75 degrees Celsius while mixing on level 4 for four minutes. The mixture will resemble thick hot chocolate once it’s done blending.

Now, I’ll add some butter to the mixture, which I’ve already chopped into small pieces. I’ll mix it for another 15 seconds on level 3, being careful not to allow the mixture to become too soft. I’ll transfer the chocolate mixture to a bowl and refrigerate it until it cools.

Once the mixture has cooled, I’ll whip up some cream in the Thermomix. This is a new experience for me, as I’ve never made whipped cream in this particular device before. I’ll pour 250g of cream into the mixing bowl, and pulse it on level 3 until the mixture is thick and forms peaks.

With the whipped cream, I’ll slowly fold it into the cooled chocolate mixture until it is evenly blended. I’ll then place the mixture into a piping bag without a tip, and pipe it into the dessert glasses. I’ll pop them into the fridge to set for three hours.

After three hours, I’ll decorate the mousse au chocolat with some raspberries, chocolate shavings, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. They’re easy to make, look elegant, and taste rich and delicious.

That’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed this recipe as much as I did. Thank you for tuning in, and I’ll catch you on the next video!
