Last week I showed you some snacks, and so I thought this week I would show you some refreshing drinks that are not alcoholic. I’m not going to make any recommendations, but it’s entirely possible that you might want to add a little something extra to these drinks to make them more to your taste. These drinks are perfect for a midday refreshment and can also be given to kids. The first recipe was inspired by a friend who showed me how to make a watermelon and pineapple smoothie.

For this recipe, all you need is some fresh watermelon and pineapple. You could also use frozen pineapple if you prefer. Cut the fruit into small pieces and add it to a blender along with some lemon juice. You can adjust the amount of lemon juice based on your taste preference. Since watermelon is made up of about 90 percent water, you don’t need to add any additional fluids. Blend everything together and enjoy your refreshing smoothie. You can even add ice cubes to make it even cooler.

For the second recipe, we’re going to make a refreshing drink using lime and ginger. Squeeze the juice of two limes into a measuring cup and add finely grated ginger. You can add as much or as little ginger as you like depending on your preference. Add water to the mixture and a little bit of agave nectar or other liquid sweetener. Mix everything together, and you can even add some ice cubes and garnish the rim of the glass with sugar.

For the third recipe, we’re going to make an iced tea using your favorite tea bags. Place the tea bags in a large pitcher and add boiling water.
