Today, we’re going to make a delicious onion hotdog. As we’re in the midst of fall and heading towards winter, I thought it would be nice to have something warm and comforting to eat. To make this yummy hotdog, we’ll need an onion - I used a red onion, but you can use any type you have at home. I’ll list all the ingredients we need at the end, so don’t worry if you miss any.

Firstly, I chopped up the onion and then went over to the grill to prepare the hotdog. I used a delicious bratwurst sausage, which I sliced down the middle - not all the way through, just enough so that I could add the toppings easily. Adding some olive oil to the grill, I then cooked the onions until they started to brown. The smell of cooking onions is one of my favourite smells!

Once the onions were cooked, I added some tomato paste to give the mixture a more intense flavour. I also added some honey, salt and pepper to complete the seasoning. After giving the mixture a good stir, I placed the sausage onto the grill and let it cook.

To build the hotdog, I used a hotdog bun and some lettuce leaves as a base. I added a bit of my homemade apple curry sauce to the bottom of the bun, followed by the hotdog sausage. Then came the delicious onion and tomato mixture, followed by some mustard and ketchup. I finished off this sensational hotdog with some more of the apple curry sauce and a sprinkle of coriander.

It didn’t take long to make this onion hotdog, and the end result was super delicious. If you’re interested in making this hotdog yourself, you’ll need the following ingredients:
