Musik: Hannah here, great to have you with me for another video. I am Kuchen 4 and today, I will be showing you a super delicious and, in my opinion, quite an easy cake recipe. I am making this cake for my cousin Nina’s 18th birthday. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to show you the final product as I’m making it in advance, but trust me, it will be delicious.

To start with, I have prepared a bag of mixed frozen berries which I have left out to thaw and drain. I am going to use these berries to create a pudding mixture. I found some raspberry pudding powder in my pantry and decided to use that. If you don’t have any pudding powder, you can use cornstarch or any other thickening agent that you have available.

I weigh the liquid from the berries as well as the berries themselves, so I know how much pudding powder to use. I add the pudding powder to the liquid and the berries, and cook it until it thickens. Once the pudding is done, I add some of the berries and mix them in with the pudding. The remaining berries are kept aside to be used later for decoration.

Next, I prepare the sponge cake and cut it into layers. I have made the sponge cake before so I skip the recipe but the details are available in the description box below. The sponge cake recipe is quite simple and you can easily make it at home.

I layer the sponge cake with the berry and pudding mixture, alternating them until I’ve used up all the layers. I then refrigerate the cake for a few hours to allow it to set properly.

Once the cake is chilled, I cover it with the remaining whipped cream mixture and use a spatula to spread it evenly.

For decoration, I melt some chocolate and add it to a piping bag. I use the chocolate to create some intricate designs on the cake.

Finally, I decorate the cake with fresh berries and mint leaves. The cake looks absolutely gorgeous, and I cannot wait for my cousin to see it on her birthday.
