After that, I will leave it for 15 to 20 minutes to let it form bubbles. Once this is done, I will prepare the butter and mix it with the milk.

My recipe for the dumplings includes 500 grams of 550er flour, a 250 ml milk box, a 30 grams of butter, a 2 teaspoons of salt and 60 grams of sugar. I will pour the butter and warm milk into the dough mix with eggs, the rest of the sugar, and salt. I will knead the dough for 10 minutes and let it rise for 30 minutes, until it doubles in volume.

While the dough is rising, I will prepare the vanilla sauce. For this, I will put 450 ml of milk in a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Separately, I mix 10 grams of cornstarch with 35 grams of sugar, and the other half of sugar is mixed with the vanilla sugar. I will blend the two mixtures with the egg yolk to avoid coagulation during cooking. When the milk starts boiling, I will remove it from the heat and add the mixture. I then stir the mixture and put it back on the stove to cook it. The sauce is ready when it is thick and creamy.

After half an hour, the dough will have risen, and it will be time to shape the dumplings. I will dust my work surface with some flour, take the dough out of the bowl, and shape it into small balls. I will place them on a baking tray for a while to let them rise further. Meanwhile, I will heat a pot with 50 grams of melted butter, 40 grams of sugar, and 250 ml of milk. Once it starts to simmer, I will add the dumplings to the pot and put the lid on it. I will let it simmer on a low heat for around 30 minutes.
