Hello everyone and welcome to Sail Israel. Today, we will be sharing with you 12 fantastic recipes for the carnival season. These savory dishes are perfect for any buffet, not just during carnival season. You can also serve them during New Year’s Eve or any other party.

But before we get into the recipes, let’s talk about carnival. Here, in our region, it is a major event, and I love to paint the children’s faces and make carnival costumes. It is always a lot of fun, but it can get pretty wild. In some places, things can get a little out of hand, but it is still an exciting time.

Now, let’s get back to the recipes. First, we have mini hot dogs. These are very easy to make and great for any occasion. Next, there is a strudel made with yoghurt dough, filled with pasta, garlic, ham, and cheddar cheese. Then, we have cold feet, which is basically cheese and crackers, but in the shape of feet. Finally, there is the sweet snack, chocolate balls, which are perfect for any occasion.

Let’s start with the recipe for the mini hot dogs. First, you need 150 ml of warm water, 21 g of yeast, 1 tsp of sugar, 150 g of plain yogurt, 50 ml of milk, 600 g of flour, 1.5 tsp of salt, and 40 g of melted butter. Mix the water, yeast, and sugar together, and then add the other ingredients. Knead for five minutes, let it rest and then cut the dough into small pieces. Add mini sausages and brush with egg whites before baking.

For the cheese feet, you will need 150 g of butter, 150 g of grated cheese, 250 g of flour, half a teaspoon of salt and baking powder, a quarter teaspoon of pepper and paprika, and 100 g of cream. This mixture should be kneaded, rolled out, and then cut into feet shapes. Brush with egg whites and bake until golden brown.

Lastly, the strudel is made with two sheets of Yufka dough, filled with Turkish ham and cheese mixture. Fold the dough and bake until golden brown.

Don’t forget to add other healthy options such as vegetable sticks and yogurt dips. These dishes are perfect for any occasion, not just during carnival season, and can be served hot or cold. I hope you enjoy baking these delicious treats and have a great time celebrating the carnival season.

Thank you for joining us today, and we will see you soon in the next episode of Sail Israel.
