Hähnchen Fajita - Tortilla Wraps - unglaublich gut!
Hello and welcome to Thomas Kock’s music channel. In my last video, I showed you how to make our own mayonnaise, and today we are making some delicious Mexican wraps. This was one of the favorite dishes of the crew when I used to work on yachts. Everyone loved them, and the best part is that you can set everything out in bowls on the table, and everyone can make their own wrap. They are really delicious, so I highly recommend that you try them out.
To make our super tasty Mexican wraps, we need a few ingredients, but don’t worry, it’s all relatively quick and easy. First, we have some crabmeat, or sour cream if you prefer. Then we have some grated cheese, which I prefer to grate myself. I find that pre-grated cheese doesn’t taste as good.
We also need some tortilla wraps, and you can either make them yourself or buy them from the store. I will be honest and say that I don’t make them every time myself, but sometimes it’s really convenient to just buy them. We also need some avocado, lime, red bell peppers, red onions, garlic, tomato, cilantro, salt, pepper, chicken breast, and my secret taco seasoning mix.
First, I start by grating the cheese and then setting it aside in the fridge. Then I make the tomato salsa by using a little trick I learned in Spain. I cut a whole tomato in half, squeeze out the juice and seeds into a bowl, then scoop out the flesh and chop it. I strain the juice to use for cooking or drinking later.
Next, I chop up some cilantro and mix it with the strained tomato juice, salt, and pepper, and then add a little bit of olive oil. This is our quick and simple tomato salsa.
For the avocado mixture, I mash up the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper. You can use a fork, but I find it easier to use a handheld blender.
Now, for the meat and vegetables, I slice the red onions and bell peppers very thinly, and chop up the garlic. I slice the chicken very thinly, season it with salt, pepper, and my secret taco seasoning mix, and fry it up in a pan until it’s cooked through. Then I remove it from the pan and start cooking the onions and peppers until they’re soft.
Finally, I assemble the wraps by adding a spoonful of tomato salsa and avocado mixture onto each wrap, then topping it with the chicken, vegetables, and grated cheese. I fold them up and heat them up in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
And there you have it, our delicious and easy Mexican wraps. They’re perfect for a family meal or entertaining guests, and everyone can customize their own wraps. I hope you enjoy making them as much as I do!
