Welcome to Karin Knorr’s Approach Training where we have just come back from work and are having some cola. We thought we’d make a quick Beluga lentil salad, which is quick and easy to prepare. Behind the camera today is the last time - hello from my side. What do we need for the salad?
For this salad, we’ll be using Beluga lentils. They are black and visually appealing. We’ll also add some vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, feta cheese, and green lettuce. To make it flavoursome, we’ll add salt, pepper, oil, garlic, and a little vinegar or lemon juice if you like. We have already washed and measured one cup of lentils, which we’ll cook in 2000 ml of water for approximately 30 minutes.
Once the lentils are cooked, we’ll move on to prepare the vegetables. We’ll chop them finely and mix them in with the lentils. Our salad is almost ready, and we can take a taste to see if we need to add any more seasoning. I’m very happy with the result, and this is a super-fast salad that’s great for any time of year. The salad is packed with vegetables and fibre, making it a nutritious and delicious choice.
Finally, we add some crumbled feta cheese to the top to give it a little extra flavour. The result is amazing, and I’m sure you’ll love it too.
