Vegetarische Buletten ganz einfach & lecker!
“Hello, dear ones, welcome back to Frank’s channel. Today I’m going to show you something very exciting and wonderful - meatballs, but not just any meatballs, these are made without meat. Now, you might be thinking ’eww!’, but hear me out. Instead of meat, we’re going to use cabbage. All the other ingredients will be the same - eggs, breadcrumbs, and so on. No need for buns or anything, just add your usual spices like salt, pepper, paprika, chili, or whatever you like to give it some flavor. Trust me, once you’ve tried them, you won’t want to go back. Now, let’s get started.
I saw this recipe on the internet, where a woman used white cabbage. Unfortunately, I only had red cabbage at the moment, but I added some carrots, and the result was amazing. You can mix and match different vegetables as you like. The key is to get the right consistency, and the rest is pretty much like making regular meatballs, so I won’t bore you with the details. We’ll do it together!
We need about 500 grams of cabbage, blanched for a few minutes in boiling water with some salt. I also added 200 grams of shredded carrots, but it’s really up to you. Once they’re done, let them cool for a bit, because we’re going to mix them with the other ingredients with our hands.
Add about four tablespoons of semolina to bind the mixture, as well as some breadcrumbs, two eggs, and some spices like cayenne pepper, paprika, and salt. Mix it all together until you get a good consistency, just like regular meatballs. You can add more breadcrumbs if needed. Then, fry some onions until they’re soft, and add them to the mixture as well.
Lastly, shape the mixture into balls and fry them in hot oil until golden on both sides. Once they’re done, drain them on paper towels to soak up any extra oil. They’re ready to eat!
I’ve already tried them, and they’re amazing! I’m a meat-eater through and through, but I could easily switch to these vegetable balls. They’re juicy, flavorful, and a great alternative to meat. We all need to think about our impact on the environment and animal welfare, and this is a great step in that direction.
That’s all from me for today. I hope you’ll try this recipe and let me know how it turns out for you. Until next time, goodbye!”
