Hey y’all, today I wanna share with y’all my favorite recipe for Gulaschsuppe. This hearty soup is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a cozy night in or a big ol’ party. And let me tell y’all, it’s so dang delicious!
Gulaschsuppe
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup frozen peas
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for a few minutes until softened.
- Add the paprika and beef, and cook until the beef is browned.
- Pour in the beef broth and tomatoes, and stir to combine.
- Add the potatoes, peas, salt, and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
- Enjoy with some crusty bread on the side!
Gulaschsuppe à la Tick von Tickerix
This recipe is a little different from the first one, but it’s just as tasty!
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the beef, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the paprika and caraway seeds.
- Add the beef broth, tomatoes, potatoes, and bell pepper.
