Leckeres und einfaches Lebkuchen Rezept

Ingredients:

  • 250g of honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 200g of brown sugar
  • 500g of flour
  • 2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp of cloves
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 100g of ground hazelnuts
  • 100ml of rum
  • 100ml of water

Instructions:

  1. Mix the honey, eggs, and brown sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Add the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and ground hazelnuts to the bowl and mix everything together.
  3. Add the rum and water to the mixture to make a smooth dough.
  4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for at least one hour at room temperature.
  5. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  6. Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into balls.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press them down slightly with your hand.
  8. Bake the Lebkuchen for 12-15 minutes until they are light brown in colour.
  9. Let the Lebkuchen cool and store them in an airtight container.
